Tuition: $25 per group class (1.5 hour) or $18 per group class (1 hour)
Everyone works at their own pace, mixed age groups are fine
Ages 12 and up, all levels are welcome

I am available for Private lessons and demos ($70 & up per hour)

MY METHODS
I was classically trained in Russia, and use some of the classical teaching methods in my classes to help students build a good foundation. I've been teaching Art in Austin area for about 6 years. For the past 3.5 years, I've taught Art at Sterling Classical school. See examples of my young students' art here -

My goal is to give you tools to work independently, teach you to be a better drawer and painter, learn to see, and understand foundational principles, color theory, etc. I also teach how to use different mediums (upon student's interest) - acrylic, watercolor, dry media, etc. I believe everyone can learn to draw and paint. Just like with any other skill, it takes time, patience, and good direction to become a better artist.
If you just want to paint for fun and don't want to get too deep into drawing/painting, I can still help you improve your art skills by working on different projects with you step by step.

I keep my classes reasonably small, so everyone gets an individual attention.
When working with children, I combine fundamentals with various projects based on art history, different artists and experimentations. (Parents will need to sign a waiver.)
TUITION
Unless it's your first class with me, tuition is usually prepaid for 4 classes in advance, and due every 4 classes. ($100 per 4 (1.5 hour classes) or $72 per 4 (1 hour classes). Please note, your tuition reserves your a spot in my class, therefore, I don't refund a tuition for a missed class, unless a student notifies me regarding missing a class at least 24 hours in advance, or in some cases of emergency.
SUPPLIES
I provide some basic supplies such as pencils, paper, erasers, easels. However, students are responsible for majority of their their own supplies (except for the first couple of classes).
